Being a dealer gives me access to a far
greater variety of gear than the average
enthusiast. However, at the same time,
having lived with so many very good
products, it's all but impossible to put
myself in the position of a real-world
hobbyist who's mapping out a
multi-source system on a finite budget.
I can only reiterate my personal
sentiments when it comes to the
equipment which I have reviewed and give
you my advice.
If
you take away nothing more from this
site just remember that..... spending
the extra coin on a better unit today
after you have made the decision you
wish to own a premium world class
product that sets you apart from the
majority of the consumer led buying
public will prove to be a stitch in
time. Quality equipment will still be as
desirable in many years as they are
today and what's more it actually works
out cheaper in the long run! Yes, a bold
unequivocal statement but 100% true my
friends, I can assure you.
See my section on
Where Do I Start When Choosing Equipment?
for why this is so. The advice you will receive on this website from my
personal experience and my customers' buying habits that is totally
free, can potentially save you tens of thousands of dollars over the
span of your Hi-Fi buying lifetime if you pay attention.
All of the following reviews are
of equipment that I have personally tested and used in my system at one
time or another. It is
provided merely as a guide only and for those who are interested
in reading what I have to say about my personal experiences. It should
not be taken as gospel. I recommend you audition each prospective
purchase before you buy or be sure you know what you are doing. Failing
this, always ask an expert who is experienced in each model and if it would suit
your particular application first, not after you decide to buy. Remember you have to be
the final judge, nobody else.
From writing these reviews and using a
plethora of equipment that I have not
had the time to review yet I have come
up with a short list of Approved
Components that I have made into
Dr Hi-Fi's
Recommended Components list.
